Jake Johns, Web Developer of Redhead
Jake is a hardcore nerd, and we mean that in the nicest way. He's been using computers since an age when most kids were handling army figures. He studies technology and the intricacies of the network in his free time, and is an expert in client-side practices like standards compliant xhtml and css. He's also well versed in server-side languages like PHP and MySQL. If those acronyms make your head spin, you're not alone. That's why we love having him around—Jake is fluent in languages most of us don't know exist.
Jake works with a focus on modern web standards and is an advocate for web accessibility. He preaches that contemporary sites must accomplish the following: function on multiple browsers and platforms, anticipate future browser updates (while still being compatible with previous versions), play well with search engines and be viewable on alternative sources like cell phones and PDAs. "Future proof, device independent, modern sites are the best thing for the client, and for the infosphere... and thats what I do."
